Autoimmune conditions

The many forms of Autoimmune diseases

My disclaimer: This material is provided as general medical information and is not intended as advice for individual patients; please contact your physician for specific recommendations and be complete in your own research. Thank you.

As I understand it, the symptoms of the body's response to an Autoimmune disease is similar in nature: Inflammation, hightened pain and sensitivity to outside stimulation. Autoimmune conditions vary depending on where in the body the disease manifests itself. It seems to me the mechanism that cause these symptoms are related also.

Some examples of such conditions (and the part of the body affected) are:

Arthritis - Joints and related connective tissues
