My wife Pamela and I rode bikes on Sunday (8/25) up to the Georgetown Flea Market. There were some great bargains but we're very broke right now paying off the honeymoon. Then we rode back down the hill and got lunch at Teaism on R St. at Connecticut. Awesome place! After that I was tired (again) so we went home and did some housecleaning then I napped. We then went out to dinner at Mediterrean Blue with our friends Bob (a.k.a "Blob" as Jill likes to say - he is nowhere near anything even remotely resembling such a term literally; Jill just uses it as a term of endearment and its slowly sticking, sort of like a blob!) and John. John is leaving Wednesday to start his PhD studies at York University in England, so it is the end of an era here in D.C. That restaurant is always great, good food and fun. We then topped off the night at the Fox.
For Labor Day we may go to visit Pamela's friend Donna up in Ventnor, NJ. Her family has a beach house mansion on the boardwalk about 30 blocks south of the casinos in Atlantic City. I love southern Jersey, its gets a bad rap but it is gorgeous up there. Atlantic City is a hole but we don't go there. The "Monopoly" streets are neat to see, though.
Well, hopefully we'll get out of town. I love the going. Some of the honeymoon pix are now posted here for you'all to enjoy!
