please ask rev jackson why didn't the movement he was evolking at the
1972 wats concert ever come to be? his speech was so moving in the
film, and the conversations in that film still ring so true. why is
there no powerful collective voice of the people of color in this
country? NOLA brings us the Blues that the british bands of the rolling
stones and cream as pire to perfect, yet when mayor nagin states that
parliment funkadelic's world would could be a reality, he is
admonished. that world was the funky seventies, but the reagan 80's
stopped the movement and brought the scourge of guns and crack. now
NOLA lower 9th, the home of Fats Domino, may become home to at FAT
suburban white people tells me that the collective consciousness will
